You Should Make A Website

It's so easy, even I can tell Claude to do it

Claude Code can make a website for you. It's fun, it's instructive, and it lets you be creative. Also, it's probably good to write your thoughts down.

We should all have websites, with a tangled web of hyperlinks connecting our pages. When I use an idea from somewhere, I link it. In practice, this will look like a whole lot of in-line citations.

The idea is to create Wikipedia-style rabbit holes. If you don't know a term, or a concept, or a conversation, you can click it, and see exactly what the author had in mind. It's a fantastic compression algorithm that lets you skim through the things you understand, and go deeper on interesting, confusing, or important topics. A collaborative choose-your-own-adventure.

Hypertext is an old idea. It's always been a hassle to actually do, and it's hard to maintain. You need individuals to comb through the details every so often, looking for broken links and updating things. AI agents can do that trivially.

It might form some kind of Web-like structure, but World Wide. A remarkable and novel idea. Anyway, build something, share it, and we can all start merging our sandcastles.
